Cambutal

Cambutal is a hidden gem on Panama’s Pacific coast, where the mountains meet the sea and life slows down. Surrounded by wild nature, steady waves, and endless sunsets, this small town has become a haven for creatives, surfers, and dreamers.

Things to Do in Cambutal

This tiny town is full of slow adventures: surfing (spots, levels, lessons available),  hiking trails and scenic viewpoints, horseback riding, turtle watching (seasonal) and day trips to places like Cerro Hoya National Park.

You can also take: pottery classes at Studio Mano, yoga classes and creative workshops at La Colectiva.

Where to Eat in Cambutal

A few local food and coffee spots we love: Kambute, Bruno's, Kambutaleko, Hotel Playa Cambutal.

How to Get to Cambutal

From Panama City: drive (6–7 hrs) or take a bus to Las Tablas + taxi. Road conditions (part paved, part dirt) 4x4 not required, but helpful in rainy season.
